Alynd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the OnePaw mobile application (the “App” or “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with — including third parties for commercial purposes — how long we keep it, and what rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
Account data: name, user ID, gender
Content you create: notes you make in the App
Email address
Purchase history
Device identifiers
Information we collect automatically
Device & network: IP address, device type, operating system, device identifiers
Usage data: interactions with the App, such as pages viewed, time spent, and features used
Analytics data: aggregated usage patterns via Google Analytics (pseudonymized where possible)
We do not collect precise location data, payment card information, or other sensitive categories unless explicitly stated.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Service, including storing your notes in Firestore
To personalize reports based on your name, user ID, gender, and notes
To maintain and improve the App’s functionality
To detect, prevent, and investigate technical issues or security incidents
To generate aggregated and anonymized statistics for internal insights
To share data with advertising partners, research organizations, and analytics companies for commercial purposes (see Section 4)
To comply with legal obligations

Performance of a contract: when we need the data to provide the Service you requested
Legitimate interests: analytics, service improvement, fraud prevention, and commercial data partnerships (balanced against your rights)

4. Sharing Your Information
We share personal data with third parties, including for commercial purposes. This includes the following categories of recipients:
Advertising partners
We share data with advertising companies to enable targeted advertising on and off the App. This may include your device identifiers, usage patterns, and demographic information. These partners use the data to deliver ads relevant to your interests and to measure ad performance.
Research organizations
We share data with academic and commercial research organizations for market research, behavioral studies, and product development purposes. Data shared for research may include usage data, demographic information, and aggregated behavioral patterns.
Analytics companies
We share data with third-party analytics providers beyond Google Analytics for deeper analysis of App usage, user behavior modeling, and business intelligence. These companies may combine our data with data from other sources.

Service providers and subprocessors that help us operate the App

Successors in case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Law enforcement, regulators, or courts when legally required or to protect rights and safety

We ensure subprocessors are bound by data processing agreements that protect your information.
5. Data Sales and Commercial Sharing (CCPA)
We sell and share personal information with third parties, including advertising networks, research organizations, and analytics companies, for commercial consideration. This constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. To exercise this right, contact us at onepawsupport@gmail.com or visit the privacy settings within the App.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside your residence. For transfers from the EEA/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
7. Data Retention
Account data and user notes: 365 days from last activity or until you request deletion (whichever comes first)
Analytics data (pseudonymized): up to 365 days
Data shared with advertising and research partners may be retained by those partners per their own policies
After the applicable retention period, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize the data we hold.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access your data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data
Restrict processing
Data portability
Object to processing, including for commercial data sharing
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (California residents)
Withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based

EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. California (CCPA/CPRA) Specific Disclosures
Categories of personal information collected: identifiers (name, user ID), demographics (gender), user-generated content (notes), device/network info, usage data.
Sources: directly from you, automatically from your device.
Business and commercial purposes: to operate the App, personalize reports, improve service, and share with advertising, research, and analytics partners for commercial consideration.
Third parties we share with or sell to: advertising networks, research organizations, analytics companies, and service providers (e.g., Google for storage and analytics).
We have sold and shared personal information in the past 12 months as described in this policy. California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information by contacting onepawsupport@gmail.com.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption where appropriate. However, no system is completely secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes — including new categories of data sharing — will be notified via in-app notice or email (if we have your contact info) at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
